Studio Led by Professor Gu Yuxiang of Huashan Named Shanghai Health System Model Worker and Craftsman Innovation Studio

The list of Shanghai health system model worker and craftsman innovation studios has been released. Following grassroots recommendation and expert review, the studio led by Professor Gu Yuxiang of Huashan Hospital was successfully selected. The studio is headed by Gu Yuxiang, first completer of the first prize of the Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Award, winner of the first prize of the Shanghai Science and Technology Award, the Shanghai Youth May Fourth Medal and the title of Shanghai Craftsman.

Its nine core members all hold doctoral degrees, forming a high-level multidisciplinary team in clinical care, teaching and research. The team focuses on interventional, microsurgical and hybrid surgical treatment of cerebrovascular disease, and has long tackled various difficult cerebrovascular disorders. It established a multimodal diagnosis and treatment system for moyamoya disease, led the formulation of multiple domestic expert consensus documents and clinical guidelines, and successfully developed AI-assisted diagnosis and treatment technology.

It has obtained six patents and one Class III medical device registration certificate, has run the National Cerebrovascular Reconstruction Training Course for 16 consecutive years, and continues to cultivate and supply high-quality professionals for the field of cerebrovascular disease.
