Shanghai-Tibet Solidarity: Sa'gya Delegation Visits Children Receiving Treatment in Shanghai

On the afternoon of April 22, Zhao Binyun, member of the Standing Committee and deputy head of Sa'gya County, and Sheng Songsong, deputy director of the Sa'gya County Health Commission and president of Sa'gya County Central Hospital, representing the Sa'gya group of Shanghai's 11th batch of Tibet aid cadres (Xuhui), visited Shanghai Children's Hospital to see the first group of children with congenital diseases from Sa'gya County who came to Shanghai for treatment in 2026, and brought them gifts. Bringing children with congenital diseases to Shanghai for treatment is a key part of Xuhui's “Hui'ai Sa'gya: Medicine Warms Hearts” assistance program. Treatment costs are jointly covered by the “Love of Gesang Flowers” public welfare program supported by the Shanghai Stock Exchange Public Welfare Foundation and Huatai Securities, together with Shanghai's special Tibet aid fund.
The hospital provides the treatment and has opened a green channel for care. After the visit, Zhao Binyun and his delegation held a meeting with Yang Xiaodong, vice president of Shanghai Children's Hospital. Yang said the hospital will assemble a professional team to develop individualized treatment plans for each child and will continue to deepen medical exchanges and cooperation with Sa'gya County to safeguard the health of children on the plateau.
