On Sept. 20, National Teeth Love Day, the Stomatological Medical Center Affiliated to Shanghai University School of Medicine was officially unveiled at More Putuo Dental Hospital, and the More Dental Big Health Industry Research Center and the Clinical Research Institute for Geriatric Oral Diseases of Shanghai University School of Medicine were established on the same day. Liu Bin, dean of Shanghai University School of Medicine, said he hoped the initiative would provide a platform for scientific and technological innovation, talent cultivation and the commercialization of research results, and support the building of an affiliated tertiary stomatology specialty hospital.
Wang Sanmao, chairman of the More Group, said the group would work with the school to build a clinic-laboratory-industry closed loop. Also that day, a public welfare campaign supported by the Smiling Ambassadors Special Fund and hosted by More Dental Hospital was launched, offering treatment support for residents aged 60 and above from financially distressed households in Changzheng Town, Putuo District, with oral treatment subsidies of up to 10,000 yuan per person. Zhao Shouliang, director of the center, said the expert team would develop personalized treatment plans for the beneficiaries using high-quality materials that meet national standards, and establish a sustainable public welfare cooperation mechanism.
