Shanghai Mylike Purchases 630 New Books to Light Up a Reading Program for Children in Mountain Areas

Shanghai Mylike, together with Sina Xiamen and the Little Dolphin Love Library, launched the reading program to light up children in mountain areas, raising a total of 13,578 yuan in donations. Of this amount, Shanghai Mylike and the labor unions of eight enterprises, namely Mylike Suzhou, Ningbo, Fuzhou, Quanzhou, Xiamen, Hangzhou and Changzhou and Aisou Technology, each donated 1,000 yuan, while the remaining 5,578 yuan came from Mylike employees and customers. The donations were used to purchase 630 new books, which have been delivered to the children of Gucheng Central School in Changting County, Fujian Province.

The school principal said the children love reading very much and were eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new books. Dr. Zhang Yongkuan, a representative of Shanghai Mylike Group and a doctor of stomatology, wished at the donation ceremony that the children would gain courage and broaden their horizons through books.

Along with the books, Shanghai Mylike also brought the children a public welfare lesson on children's oral care, from understanding teeth to learning how to protect them; the children listened attentively and asked questions actively.
