Xinhua Hospital Marks the 9th Chinese Physicians' Day with Awards Ceremony

On August 17, Xinhua Hospital held its 2026 Chinese Physicians' Day celebration and the 9th “Lean Heritage, Master Clinicians” outstanding physician awards ceremony. Hospital President Cai Wei, speaking on behalf of the hospital's Party and administrative leadership, congratulated the honored physicians and extended holiday greetings, calling on all clinicians to follow these role models, uphold medical ethics, deepen their commitment to core duties, and work together to advance the hospital's high-quality development. Tang Hua, deputy Party secretary and secretary of the discipline inspection commission, and Vice President Zheng Zhongmin presented the 2026 “Master Clinician” awards to five physicians: Lu Yongjian (stomatology), Weng Mingzhe (general surgery), Xiong Ying (obstetrics and gynecology), Qu Fajun (urology) and Zhao Dongsheng (ophthalmology).

Deputy Party Secretary Cheng Ming, Vice President Xu Weiping and Vice President Zhang Li presented the “Young Master Clinician” awards to eight young physicians, including Bi Rui (cardiothoracic surgery), Li Huaifeng (general surgery), Zhang Lingli (developmental-behavioral child health), Xiao Fei (orthopedics), Sui Wenyuan (spine center) and He Lei (pediatric urology).
